Probably dont have java installed, or a firewall blocking the IRC ports

Java's installed, I get to the menu where I put in name, password and choose server... then i enter that and it won't connect!

not to be rude but until you can tell me just how going for a run in computers is possible I'll stick to surfing the internet, I mean surfings good fitness too Tongue out

well no... but it's highly likely, we use a system built for schools, it's damn annoying, all gaming sites I find they keep blocking.
