I am an ADSL customer using the Vodafone DNS, I have tried restarting my modem and my computer but my internet is still slow. Youtube is slow and doing a speed test is giving me 3mbps to the Auckland Vodafone server with between 100 and 200 ping, it's usually 13.5mbps with 45 ping. Other sites have been going slow all day and are having trouble fully loading e.g. Mighty Ape, reddit, and Geekzone.

I'm having the same problem here in Chch tonight. I have Ultra Fast Cable 130 and usually see 90Mb/s downstream and < 20 pings. YouTube is stuttering and normal browsing is slooow. Coincidentally I received a letter welcoming me to 'unlimited' broadband yesterday. I noticed the small print mentioned traffic management... I really hope this isn't the end of my honeymoon period with Vodafone.

Different gear if he is on Vodafone ADSL, (ex TCL ADSL may differ). Wouldn't have the slightest relation unless national backhaul has an issue.

I don't have access to another computer as I only have my laptop and I don't have a smartphone. I have tried Chrome and Internet Explorer, they both have the same result.

Is this tested via WiFi or Ethernet?

Then based on your comments and performance I'd say there is a national issue. I'm getting 100+ pings everywhere and download speeds are less than 10% of what I usually see on this connection.

The only oddity is the Snap server in Chch is giving me decent results on SpeedTest, but the Telecom server is as slow as everywhere else...

Seems to be on the "TCL" network. No issues noted on Vodafone ADSL, VDSL.

Just curious, why were the ADSL TCL customers not moved over to the Vodafone network when TCL was sold to Vodafone.

Vodafone seems to be having problems with international routes to Singapore/Asia in General. Add to this some proxy in need of another kick to flush their bad cache.

I've noticed this yesterday and today.
