Amongst the charges there is "Transfer with a required change of Port" at $85.  What is that?

Weird, I haven't been told about that with my signover

I've customer linked my number for 10 days($20 per month so round $7-10)
Asked Xnet to port my existing number to Fusion $19?

Just have to wait 6-10 days, have waited 4 so far, with no net or phone :S

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

I was not told that either, but wanted to know what it is since it is listed on the Fusion web page.

I dont know what it is either perhaps Phil could enlighten us to satisfy our curiousity but whatever it is it obviously doesnt apply to our changeover to Xnet fusion as I think the CSR would have told us about it

Had a thought (yea, it does not happen often!). Perhaps that is if you are with a provider which has his own equipment in the cabinet/exchange and your connection has to be switched over to the Telecom equipment (port)?

I'm guessing that it has something to do with the cost of having a technician go to the exchange and change the wiring configuation?

Just a guess.

This is a charge that has come out of the Commerce Commision determination so it is listed as we did not want to hide any cost's, it has not yet been fully defined by the Com Com , it has been listed just to show the cost that was passed down in the determination, we belive it relates to if a Port Change is required on Naked DSL service, the actuals details of what is a port change has not been released to us but we don't belive it will be used very often at all, more to follow when we have the details Laughing
