Hi,

I recently (5/2/08) connected with WXC on the HSI Flood plan.  My modem line speed connects at 5.5 Mbps down and 896 Kbps up.
I requested to sign up to Fusion last Friday 8th Feb.

It's weird but speedtest.net tests before I requested Fusion were always good and consistent around 5 Mbps down and 700 Kbps up, VFX calls were perfect so I decided to go the whole hog and order Fusion.... now tonight I'm getting extremely variable results that are almost always slower.  sometimes 1.5 Mbps down, sometimes 3 Mbps down, the fastest has been around 4 Mbps down.

Does going naked/Fusion put you on a different IP range or equipment?
Also VFX calls I have made today, the party on the other end have told me that the quality has dropped badly.  They now say it's like I'm "talking on a cellphone in a barrel".

I hope this is just a temporary glitch!
I'm in Palmerston North.

Anyone else had probs like this?

Cheers,
Nigel

Hi Nigel

Most probably it will be your connection as this will have changed since there is no longer a phone line attached the circuit has been rejumpered at your local exchange, but can I suggest you ring the help desk and log a issue they can then take a look at your line and get it looked at as it sounds like a line issue,

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink
