Hi Everyone,
I thought I would pick the brains of everyone first before I loged a fault.

I have a WAG54GP2V2 on the fusion plan.

When I make / receive calls there seems to be quite a bit of hiss or white noise and it varies in violume from ohone to phone.

I have plugged a phone straing in the back of the WAG and it is still there so it is not the house wiring ( CAT 5 Star congiguration )

I have tried rests and the like, I am looking for advise.

As the calls to the WAG are digital I would not expect any hiss or noise however there must be a digital to Analogue converter in there and that can have noise if there is a fault.

I guess what I am saying is that where shold I start first, Xnet or Linksys?

If I have to send the WAG away for service will they give me a loan one so I am not without phone or internet services?

I look forward to everyones advise.

Cheers

John

Start with XNet, and I think they will offer to loan you a unit (they have for some in the past).

It does sound like a faulty unit, try Xnet, if no luck, ask Linksys for a forward replacement - they'll send you a brand new unit, plus a courier bag for you to ship back your faulty one.

I did this once with a 3Com wireless router, no downtime which was perfect.
