Anyone got any updates or news they can share on the models supported by Wi-Fi calling?

Hoping my note10 gets announced though its getting awfully close to the sure signal shut down for my liking. Our one in the office has already stopped working and its a pain trying to get a call or message through.

Considering switching the fleet to 2degrees as the staff are also starting to complain.

If you need a sure signal - I might be able to give you my one.
I’m still on VFNZ but wifi calling is now working to the point that I no longer need it.

If interested, drop me a PM.

One day the handsets will start working on WiFi calling then the handset list will be updated few weeks later

I doubt if anyone from Vodafone could actually comment

Thanks for the offer but we have ~20 phones in the office so we have one of the commercial ones. I do have an unopened spare unit that I havent had time to try yet. Was hoping i wouldnt have to climb up and swap it over (it would take at least 6 minutes+bootup wait & test) if i could just say "wait a week and the samsung's will start working on the wifi".

From what I’ve heard - the website is being updated fairly regularly, but unfortunately support for the various Samsung models will trickle out as their software updates become available.

The Note 10 (and 10+/10+ 5G) is currently on the roadmap but there’s no release date that can be shared at the moment.

Hey folks, anyone who has a suresignal received any discounts off a VoWifi enabled device yet?
Our two suresignals will shutdown soon, so I need to get some VoWifi enabled phones but kind of waiting for a discount for existing suresignal users

@jjnz1 Has VodafoneNZ advised they will be offering discounts on handsets?

Well I've turned on what I can on my Poco X3 and the wife and kids Samsung A8 phones (none of what are listed on the Vodafone site for wifi calling) and cant get it to work.

My options at the moment are 1- wait and see, 2 - don't make calls, 3 - move over to signal voice calls only.

I guess there's the option of buying new phones, but I don't really want to have to by 4 new cellphones just so a few people can call me while I'm at home.

Wifi Calling needs a software update to work. As far as I'm aware we have never sold any Poco phones so they will (probably) never get an update with the required configuration. This applies to VoLTE too (note our VoWifi implementation is tied to VoLTE, and needs that to be enabled first).

Re: the A8 - I believe these are only getting security patches now, so they might be too old. I can see that they they are not currently on the (internal) VoWifi roadmap, and I believe they are not enabled for VoLTE on our network either.

For reference the list of devices currently enabled for VoLTE is here: https://www.vodafone.co.nz/our-networks/volte/

Edit: According to @MaxineN VoLTE works on the Poco X3, but as it isn't a device we have sold (and therefore not officially supported) it is unlikely that it will officially be supported for VoWifi either.

That's strange because my Poco F3 has VoLTE with no issues! No VoWifi!

As per @Linux and @halper86 - check that your carrier bundle is Voda NZ 48.0 (under Settings > General > About, scroll down to Physical SIM).

And then check that VoLTE is enabled under Settings > Mobile > Mobile Data Options > Voice & Data (you don't need to have 4G coverage, it just needs to be turned on).

There's a small chance it isn't enabled on your connection, so if that still doesn't fix it (or if VoLTE is also missing or won't activate) then contact us to double check it is enabled.

My iPhone 12 Max Pro is on Voda NZ 47.0 running iOS 15.0 and I have VoLTE and VoWiFi running. My network I am currently connected to is Vodafone NZ Wifi.
