Anyone like to comment on why WxC have so many issues with their email service ?

It seems like they cannot go a week without an issue and this has been going on for months

Very frustrating

Well there are those who beleive we should not use ISP email but use gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc...

I pay WxC for email and DNS and I expect both to be robust, if they said email and dns were 'best effort' I would have used a different ISP

The time they take to fix these issues permanently will determine how long I stay with WxC

Some would also say you get what you pay for..

See the XNet network status page. It is fairly detailed (for an average user). They indicate when it should be on-line again.

I applaud WxC for working all night to fix their "naughty" mail servers and keeping the network notification alert updated. I feel sympathy for whoever looks after their mail environment...

But this has ocurred before [once it was 3 days] and I hold my breath that this time WxC has resolved their email woes for good

As someone else stated if they were as big as TCNZ it would have made the news

I wonder if they'll entertain an SLA for webmail Laughing

From the status update it appears that this time they've migrated to a new mail server. I believe one od the previous times it was not the mail server that was upgraded but rather something else and the mail server was only a symptom. Anyway, they updated the status 4 1/2 hours after the issue was fixed so they must have made sure it is all working first.

It would be useful if the network status kept track of when each update was posted rather than only the date/time of the last update.
