Last night and today, cannot access www.massey.ac.nz.

Asked someone in the UK to see if they get to the page, loaded fine for them.

Just restarted my router and modem - no change.

Also, just tried to get onto GeekZone in Firefox, and Norton says its a suspicious webpage. At one point, Norton actually blocked me able to get to massey stream (stream.massey.ac.nz), yet allowed it to work a min prior. The next day, no problems.

Something strange there, because I run Norton and it reports Geekzone as a safe site.

Yeah, I loaded it fine in IE.
Then I tried in Firefox, and all was good

Now Massey - someone in the UK can access it fine. They're giving me links which I can click on and load fine. But then refreshing the page, they no longer load

Someone else in NZ tried loading massey.ac.nz and it won't work for them either.

Same.

I can get index.html from .us and off another provider in Wellington but I can't pull it from my Telstra HFC connection.

Ok, just tested your reports...

1.www.massey.ac.nz is not visible from TelstraClear, although the name resolves to an IP. I can get to www.massey.ac.nz  from other network. I recommend you contact TelstraClear help desk and report it.

2.Norton does not say anything about Geekzone

Not sure what was up with Norton, but it did give me a Suspicious webpage message. But a few minutes later, I tried the site again and nothing appeared from Norton.

freitasm: I recommend you contact TelstraClear help desk and report it.

I on the other hand recommend not wasting your day with Telstra's over seas based call center and consider the following:

1.  Lodge a GeekZone fault
2.  Let Telstra consider if picking up social media alerts is important enough to have their NOC monitor GZ.
3.  Consider another ISP that does consider users important - We have any number who are on board on GZ with local representation who will already be all over this fault and double checking the same fault is not impacting their networks.

HTH.

na, they're just dropping ICMP packets at the boarder.  I'm seeing the same from .wgtn.nz and seat.us but I can still pull http.index.

I did contact TelstraClear. They have given me a ticket reference. Also told me to a tracert and email it to help@clear and isptestpc@clear

Guy I spoke with could not access the site on his PC, but could on the Vodafone phone. IP/DNS seem to match with what Xtra gave him, to the records with TelstraClear

more interested in traffic being routed to Australia before back to NZ again, but guess its to do with the lack  of peering

Should it timeout after the first one (192.168.1.1)?

From what I've gathered the problem is isolated to TelstraClear connections.
