I have to agree with Brad :/

Would be nice though if they brought out something similar to TCNZ's 'prepaid' $10 txt... as I don't consider free txt weekends to be much of a comparison nor do i consider on account 'you choose' to muster up beside it either.

Hey Labour and Greens!... Your parties suck! You´ve got too many clowns and not enough ice cream!!

Free text weekend is only good for text spamming which irritates me! $10 text 24/7 is a great deal for me, i never send more than 300 in a month but i send most of them during the week so until VF brings out a comparable deal i could never consider switching, unless it was so i could get an N93

How about something similar to You Choose Add Ons, but for prepay. Like VFUK

I need texts to both networks and i dont want to give up my 6265, so at the moment VF dont really have anything to lure me away from telecom

From my point of view free TXT weekends was great, as most serious TXTers would have both a Vodafone to use on the weekend and a Telecom mobile to use during the weekdays. Now if we think about it Telecom gets $10 per mobile (assuming they send 50 or more txt messages), and what does Vodafone get from these users who have both?? Nothing!! Brilliant!!

That’s why I never saw free txt weekends as a long term promo, just wasn’t logical.

Cheers

SO far, Free Text Weekends has been around for 15 months ( it was launched in March 2005) - so they have been around for a long term period.

Point taken. I was looking at it from a consumer’s point of view, but yes one must look at it from a commercial point as well to gain a balanced picture.

I guess it comes down to what you define as the 'long' term, sorry but I'll stick with my original comment on this one.

Cheers

All I can say about free SMS been extended is watch the Vodafone.co.nz website for the next few days.

If anything happens I am sure it will be on there

PS I don't know whats happening so please don't ask maybe nothing will happen (no more been SPAMed on the weekend)
