That is truely disappointing as far a I am concerned, it is as if they can't work out how to structure any deals that come close to Telecoms $10 txt, so they give up and keep the status quo Undecided.

What is their strategy? to please the 7-13 year old demographic??!?!....oh wait, strangely it probably is....

Vodafone customers enjoy been able to SMS as much as they like in the weekend at no cost 021 to 021

let them do this if they want $10 SMS they have a choice to change

"Oh hey remember to be sensible and don't spam your mates. If you excessively use the Vodafone Free TXT weekends, it may result in the suspension of services" --- vodafone.

If your not happy with the current deal, maybe a spamming is in order...are they referring to individuals not having free txt or everyone? i.e. the free txt service or your access to it, it seems logical to be the latter, but they aren't clear on it and seem to be happy for people to make assumptions...and you know what they say about assumptions.

...I am a vodafone customer, don't make assumptions and I have remained on topic...

EDIT: Why is it if someone has a different perspective they are classed as a troll? people shouldn't be throwing that term around so loosely.

OT:
johnr: Question for Brad if you don't want to answer this thats OK

Where do you work?

As if that wasn't a loaded question...seems Brad was very close to being called a troll as well Undecided

Back to the original post.... It seems people DO want it.

owlpower: Does anyone know what Vodafone is planing after 30th June when free Vodafone to Vodafone texting on weekends runs out?
Do they plan to extend it, again? I would like to mobilize all Vodafone customers in the country by texting important Vodafone managers that we want an extension until whatsoever. Who knows important Vodafone numbers to text this demand to? Any other ideas?

johnr: in response to your comment regarding the fact that most people do want or demand free text...: Yes I have to agree with that... as I preemptively did in an (although it seems rather subtle) earlier post......

MORNING EVERYONE.

Well, what can I say?

I was wrong - I admit it!

My predictions were wrong, Vodafone has surprised me and extend it again, I think they are stupid for leaving it this long to just "extend it again", they should of told everyone they were extending it a few weeks ago, then they wouldn't have been flooded with text spammers in the weekend and wouldn’t of had hundreds of calls to their helpdesk asking if it was going to be extended or not.

HOWEVER, I may not be completely wrong. Why you ask? Well i still believe they will be coming out with a NEW promotion during the first few days of July.

Ahhh and there goes the bit where he retracts his admisssion of being wrong. They are not going to replace free text weekend a week or so after extending it. So therefore a new deal would be unrelated and you would still be wrong in your assertion that free texting would be replaced with a new deal if it was extended

Lol yes im being a pain in the @ss

Credit goes to Simon for fronting up.

Unlike the troll arguments that have been used earlier by certain people and then used again even though the way they are used directly contradict previous statements. They know who they are.

Vodafone also sent out a SMS from 'Vodafone' stating that its been extended....
