OldWolf2:It happened for me last night, with HGTV, Duke and a few others disappearing. They were back this morning.

Maybe removing the power, and rebooting the box.
The fix for missing channels is to hide then unhide the pay channels or around the other way.
menu, settings, content settings, unsubscribed channels, show or hide

Ok, that worked thanks. Lame bug
Any idea how to fix the SC401 error? Says I have no internet connection to access the TV channels.. But the internet connection is fine and with the same box I can watch netflix(Yet it says no internet connection) but can't watch SKY/TV channels. Any idea on how to fix this? I keep ringing Vodafone but they know nothing.
@SteveC:
* Went to watch our recording of yesterdays Grand Designs. It said 'Catch-up available for 48 hours.' or some-such. We were offered a choice of two buttons: 'Watch catch-up on Three' or 'Watch recording'. Can someone please tell me the difference? Will the 'recording' be available for the usual month or three?
"Catchup" is always available for 72 hours after a program is aired. It's available from the guide grid. This is handy when you want to watch a program that you didn't record/didn't plan on recording.
The recording option is a different thing.

@Apsattv I think you are right. I have a spare hour tomorrow I think I will try ringing Vodafone as I am unable to get to the retailer that sold me the box.
So I tried a few times to ring Vodafone with no success, I simply will not wait on a phone for an hour or two. I messaged them and so far no response.
@21brandon21 It sounds like if you are not using a fixed IP address for VTV, which does not get managed by DHCP (i.e. is not in the range of DHCP addresses), you may have a DHCP problem. I suggest you reboot your router and if this does not help login to to the router admin screen and check the IP address assigned to the VTV, and check that you have spare DHCP addresses to issue and do not have over 32 devices active if you have a Huaewi HG659 or HG659B router.

Interesting that some people are experiencing such wide and varied problems using the VTV device.
My experience since installing mine 5 months ago is that it has not skipped a beat!
I've viewed various TV channels in real-time, re-wound programs, watched OnDemand, Prime Video, as well as using the fast-forward buttons (both left-and right arrows and the buttons above the OK-wheel), and the Start-from-Beginning & Resume options. I turn the device off every night.
I sometimes get the Pause/Restart buttons wrong (different buttons are best for Recorded programs or for Streams), but always easily resumed with no "jump backwards". Also, never experienced a 'not connected' message, or 'buffer judder'. I turned off Pay channel options weeks ago, and the full range of Freeview channels are always listed.
I wonder if some particular batch of devices were/are faulty from the factory ... only takes a single component change during assembly to cause a whole run to cause what some are seeing. Maybe return unit to dealer/retailer and try a new one?
I just noticed while having a scroll through the channel list that TVSN is advising it is no longer available on Sky but to go to Freeview Ch20. Someone might want to update the channel source (if that can be done?)
As requested by Vodafone I emailed their online store requesting a replacement. I got an unintelligible response from them. I have emailed back but I am not holding out much hope.
Hmm I've been keeping an eye on the VTV Gen2 box experience in this thread as I was interested in switching over from my current MySky+, however I paid the $500 for it a number of years ago i.e. I don't pay the MySky charge.
It's slow and cumbersome but never presents the picture quality issues seen in this thread especially recently, I see frequent complaints against the VTV, I guess I'll stick to it the MySky+ STB for now.
