quickreactor: What about the fact that "enthusiasts" are more likely to want to use this new technology? Why not allow us to download the software and test it? I'm sure you have reasons but at this point it seems like it's never going to happen cause they don't give a s**t.

You'll probably find that part of the testing that they need to do is in regards to security and making sure that everything is secure and unable to be compromised. Given this is related to transferring of money I'd say that was fairly important :)

quickreactor: So still no compatibility for the Oneplus One? :(

Just read a post with a guy called NikT stating lal the reasons why testing it for Oneplus isnt a priority for them including that as an "enthusiast" phone, people will likely have rooted and thus cannot use the root-protected software.

What about the fact that "enthusiasts" are more likely to want to use this new technology? Why not allow us to download the software and test it? I'm sure you have reasons but at this point it seems like it's never going to happen cause they don't give a s**t.

Oneplus One on CM11, CM11S, CM12, CM12S, Oxygen OS do not have the OpenMobile API. It is extremely unlikely for Vodafone/Spark/2Degrees/Semble to go and build (and have to maintain) a firmware for a phone they do not sell (with a very low userbase regardless).

Oneplus One on ColorOS has this API and I have run Semble on it fine but I could not get a payment to successfully occur.

When banks stop issuing pieces of plastic with all the numbers needed to charge it printed on it then I will accept they can start to worry about the security of a device that should only be passing encrypted data between the sim and a payment terminal.

Oh drat I thought I had every box checked to use this with my brand new Z3 but it appears that Lollipop is not yet supported on the Z3. cry Hopefully it won't be long until it is.

Sorry I missed this. No, but then I am not on Spark.

Think I have solved the "Too many cards" and unreliability issues I have been having.

I had Trigger (NFC app) on my phone and thought it may be causing problems.

I have taken it off and I just bought something and it worked perfectly, screen off and all.

I just got my Semble sim for my M7 and its working fine. Today my phone is saying that the Lollipop update  is now available. I thought that I read somewhere that Semble is not working with lollipop. Is that correct? or am I safe to update my phone.

I mostly just want to get rid of the notification that there is an update.

Also I'm guessing there is no way to hide the NFC notification. Keeps making me think about coffee.

Thanks. 2° say the same thing. I was looking on the Semble site and they have no mention of which version is compatible.

Yes you will lose Semble with the update (as happened to me). I assume it will come back when tested and the software version 7.21.980.5 (Android 5.0.2) is added to the lists as acceptable.

If you select "install later" and then swipe away the notification, does it come back? I know it does if you reboot, but what if you just keep the phone running?
The Xposed module to remove the NFC symbol doesn't work in lollipop.

If you're happy for your Semble card to be "always on" I would suggest making the card always on and installing the update. There'll be lots of nice new features for your phone in the update. :) The Semble functionality you might temporarily lose is being able to go into the Semble app and make changes, and receiving the on screen notification of the payment being requested. That functionality will be restored when the software is approved.

I'll ask around about Semble's testing of the software update and timeframes. It can take a few days for the updated info from Semble to be listed on our site, the details need to be sent to us, passed to our online content team and then updated by them so there's a few steps involved, and it might start working again for you before it's listed as compatible on our site. I've suggested it could be cool to have a data feed from Semble that we display on our site so then Semble can effectively update the list of devices on our site for us. :)

As above. Activating the SIM and making the card always on allows you to use it as payment in any other Tap & Pay device - even Windows Phone and Blackberry devices.

The only thing is that maintaining the cards will still require you to use a certified device with the Semble app.

Yea it only gives me an option to remind me later with a max of 4 hrs.

Thanks for that I have it set to always on anyway.
