That still would be expected in this area but will be resolved very soon.

Thanks John

I had just one failed text also - 7.14pm Viaduct area and I was travelling in a car (no, not driving). Wasn't worried, these things happen.

Also just got a SMS sent at 22:06 last night at 09:51. :(

Phone was on all last night, just got a spate of 4 SMS's from around that time.

For what its worth, just went to sms the courier to pickup tomorrow and no signal showing on either of my slingshot mobiles. Not even with turning off and on again., only 2 degrees and telecom in a network scan. Will try dual mode in a second.

You're local Cell is probably being upgraded and you don't have coverage with another cell where you live.  I suspect it would "reappear" in 10-15 mins... Unless something really wrong has happened.
I have been online on my XT Datacard all night, ~Midnight it dropped from full bars to 1-2, and then came back 20 mins later.  Check my blog entry in my sig to see if you have more than one cell near where you live.  Could also be because if you locked your phone to GSM only, your phone didn't fail over to 3G if they were doing a GSM upgrade only.

Could be, I have the phone on UMTS only since GSM buzz is annoying coming thru on things all the time.

In anycase it didnt come back till I did another network scan and chose vodafone. Left the other one sitting for ages just showing nothing till I did a manual scan again and it was back to full.

The problem is still persisting here in the Wellington CBD.
