I don't care if live tv stops.. I just want to redirect Youtube to unblock a UK geo stream

It seems to work but the one thing I noticed was if you run a DNS thing like Pi-Hole and block the ads, TVNZ OnDemand stops working. Might just be me but if that's an issue I'd keep that in mind.

For PiHole just whitelist the Set top box, that way, TVNZ on demand will still work.

Is there any update on getting the channels in HD on Sky/Freeview that Vodafone TV doesn't currently have upgraded?

I'd also be keen for an update. I've asked several times, also directly referenced Vodafone staff on this forum, but the lack of a reply and the fact that its now almost a year since the upgrades were supposed to happen, seems to me like Vodafone TV has taken a back seat. It's a shame, it could have been a great product, but without ongoing support I cant see it having a future.

I noted that the update was available, and attempted to perform it but got an "Error 030C Software Update Failed" error message after being on 0% update for a long time. Retry did not help.

What does this Error Code mean? Note: I am on Wi-Fi with the VTV Gen2 STB in question.

Hi Ivan, is this with the Beta test version you are using?  I suspect it is.  DM me the STB number that's throwing this error and we can investigate.

This was on a non beta test version using WiFi. It worked when I connected to Ethernet.

Today I helped a friend setup a new Vodafone TV Gen2 Set Top box purchased from the Warehouse.
Firstly I tried setting it up on Panasonic 5K TV using HDMI 4 or HDMI 3, as it was the only TV close to Ethernet, however it just gave me a black screen. I used this TV knowing that an Ethernet connection is required for the first update.

So I then tried setting it up on the Sony Bravia 1080p TV it is destined for using WiFi and was able to set up everything but when I went to do the update, as suspected I got an "Error 030C Software Update Failed" after it had been on update screen for a few minutes. So I tried updating it while connected to the 4K Panasonic TV but just got the black screen again. So took it home and connected it to a 1080p Sony Bravia TV while using Ethernet. The update worked.
I then tried it on the Panasonic TV and it worked, but it would not connect to WiFi on on the Sony Bravia, until I connected to the WiFi router that the Panasonic TV Vodafone Gen 2 Set Top box is connected via Ethernet to rather than Netcom wireless router originally used that that router is connected to.
Any ideas what the error code means, and why I was not able to connect to the original Netcom Wireless router please? Also will updates now work over WiFi since I have done the latest update?

I am currently as of about 9:40PM getting the message "Your Vodafone TV cannot play this content as the connection was lost" for all the TV channels/.

Restarting doesn't seem to help. The Applications still appear to be working.

Yes, we've been onto this as soon as it occurred.  Currently engaging with external provider.

Down as of 9:35pm. A shame these outages are so common these days.

Same here. Stuttered for a while, then completely crapped out.

Back to the Apple TV, which always works.

Same here. Thought it would’ve been the usual micro pausing or freezing so rebooted and reset but no joy.
