richms: I have had the browser on my 2730 say connection unavailable when it had signal twice today. Never seen it before. The G in a box icon was showing at the top, no idea what happened but it worked again when I tried again.

This means your phone is attached to the 2G GPRS network

Kris89: I've experienced the missed calls/delayed txts problem for a month or two on and off - I'm only a very light cellphone user, but most days normally have a couple of google calendar txt notifications arrive, which are sometimes hours late (I had put it down to problems at googles end, until I saw this thread).

Today I missed a call at 3:53pm, and a couple of txts (unknown send time, but would have been after 12:50pm). At 5:57pm the txts came in all at once, as well as the Who Called message.
I was in Auckland CBD the whole time with reasonable reception, all communications were vf-vf.

Also had an incoming call cut off after a few minutes, at ~6:03pm (although haven't confirmed it wasn't the other persons phone out of battery or something)

Hi Kris

Can you please PM me the examples I would like to take a look

INFO required MSISDNs time and date

Thanks John

I can confirm the software patches have now been deployed right across the Vodafone NZ 3G Network

Vodafone and NSN have done extensive testing and are very happy.

Thanks John

MSISDN's? Is this just the mobile numbers or something printed/coded on the phone/sim (like IMEI is)?

Please PM the details and I will take a look

The issue will not be related to this thread but I would say a single cell issue

Thanks John

Thanks yes no way related to the known 3G issue we had.

I would just like to post again the software fix for the issue Steve Biddle raised has now been deployed right across the Vodafone NZ 3G network.

The software fix is not going to fix the day to day BAU issues

Thanks John

so I'm confused now, what should I be doing when my handset can't get data

do I still need to be reporting to VFNZ when I have these data issues that require flight mode toggle on/off

or this the new normal

If you have a issue in a location with a service such as Voice or Data its BAU call 777 and log a fault ticket with the CSR. (take note of the ticket number)

Provide time & Dates and location and what is happening and if the issue is on 2G or 3G this will make it make easier

John
