   >I used my Windows 10 PC Connected via Ethernet to my RT-AC86U<

Then quite possibly the PC was assigned 192.168.1.2 ??

You may have to completely release and then renew all IP's before getting the Ultra Hub to grab/be assigned the one you want.  The Hub or the Asus may also be holding 192.168.1.2 under lease (possibly 24 hours).

Nope PC is 192.168.1.246

Just a wild question here for clarification, how is the Ultra Hub connected to the Asus? ... obviously Ethernet cable, but what ports on the two devices are you using?

ICMP Dest host unreachable doesn't necessarily mean there is a device, just means incomplete ARP.

Sorry if I have missed the post but what happens when you try to assign 192.168.1.2 ?

Does the web GUI produce an error?

Yeah seems to be a firmware thing then, maybe the IP address is reserved for DLNA or something.

Except that two of us have managed to change our Hubs to .2 with no problems.

Note: I haven't tried in the configuration described though (viz. another router then use Hub as AP).

That's a DHCP lease listing not ARP table.

Are you guys all on the same Ultra Hub firmware version?

Alternatively the Ultra Hub just needs a power cycle or reset to forget the previously set DHCP scope. I wouldn't bother unless you are really adamant to assign .2 for your Ultra Hub lol.

See if turning the Ultra Hub off and on again solves the problem.
