freitasm: Folks, I don't think it's anything to do with Geekzone. As posted by cranz, and based on the "Business Centre Service" reference in the box I suspect this is something they send to business accounts only.

If this is the case, then a box of Bic pens is an interesting proposition, since most businesses limit the value of gifts an employee can receive (although I know things work differently for a lot of CxO level people).

Perhaps it was really from Telecom trying to make out is was voda?

I have been on Bellsouth (was talk200 Limited edition then Offpeak Advantage) since 1997, I wonder where my Bic Clic's are? though I had a short "broken" time with them.

No text yet but Google told me this https://vbox.co.nz/ (Put your number in then run through the forgotten password process)

All very fancy and looks promising, time will tell how valuable it is :-)

P.S. Tried another number (one that didn't receive an aluminium plate in the mail) and that doesn't work surprise surprise :-)

Mmmm... i'm naughty and i went and had a peep at my v.box. Changed my combination code and I have full access to it now... Woohoo... nothing "special" in there as I can see yet though, just a few $150-off offering on new mobiles, and a statement saying "Regular Rewards"... I think Mauricio had a better end of the loyalty incentive of 5 BICs at this stage.

Perhaps they're trying to increase loyalty ahead of number portability coming in next year. Customer churn can only go up when that happens.

If we're going to get some goodies out of it it shows that regulation must be good :-)

My wife got one of those things, and the code today. And a condition to enter the draw is to accept commercial e-mail from Vodafone? Yep, because the only way to be in the draw is to check the box that allows them to send you commercial e-mails with their offers - and when the v.box is "reloaded".

I have no idea how long I've had my accounts - one of them since the "Bellsouth days", and the other about 5 years.

And not a thing so far.

No pen.

No vbox (not even one allocated - did the "Forget my combination" option on the website).

Got $20 petrol vouchers the other day though - normally people ignore me, but they actually "paid" to hear my opinion!
