KShips:
Should local traffic like email and xnet website stop when the cap is reached? My parents are setup for that but I know the first month everything seemed to stop but I have a feeling last month they may have continued to get emails?

Are clothed broadband plans getting any changes?

Cheers,

You should be able to get the Xnet Website and get Email while fully capped. We experienced some issues with the Overcap functionality which were resolved - sounds like your parents experienced this issue.

Currently we're just updating just the Fusion plans.

Is "Phoneline" a VOIP line or POTS? Maybe throw in a "VOIP" there to make it clear?
(Although I assume "Fusion" is the naked DSL plan)

It's a VOIP/VFX line, will raise the issue - thanks for your feedback.

Fusion is the naked/VFX combination. This was pretty clear on the previous website, but the current one is not very intuitive (well, to me!).

Good to finally see price changes for the BOF users!

Unfortunately for ADSL2+ none of the plans are competitive enough... For the price of Fusion 60 you can currently get 150GB on Telecom (create your own, no additional calling plan, $10 loyalty discount off the $99 list price) or on Snap you can create a 120GB plan for $90... basically not compelling enough for anyone who uses more than 60GB/month.

Oh, are these still no contract plans and can we just ignore the VFX bit if we don't use it?

(And when can/should we call to switch over?)

Yes there is no contract on these plans, if you are currently on a contract with us you can switch to these plans and keep the existing contract (if you've done 6 months of a 12 month contract, you'll still only have 6 months left).

Yes you can ignore the VFX side of things, you don't have to setup a voice adapter,  although you might want to for the toll savings :)

Yes you can call in to the Sales team on 0800 124 386.

Oop, just called up, got told that the sales person would have to check with their manager, since that fusion plan "comes with VFX" even though I didn't want it setup <.<

Getting a call back tomorrow, apparently.

Just tell them to set it as open vfx, otherwise they need a mac address from you.

Are these plans still 30/10 for fibre? Do any of them give 100/50?

Nice work maverick and Cameronn and the rest of the xnet team!

I've been trying to convince my parents (in Turangi) to get off dial-up for a wee while now and the Fusion 5 plan looks perfect for them. I've recently moved away from xnet but imagine my WAG54GP2v2 could be reconfigured for them without any issues?

It's no longer listed as supported hardware, but Im fairly sure it used to be. Assuming it can be used, you'd just need to add their authentication details for DSL and advise WxC of the MAC address when signing up.

Yes that is correct 30/10 only for BOF until they move to UFB as its a technical requirement of BOF we have no control over that sorry,

Pretty much, the wag54gp2 is pretty old now and we did see some quality issues occurring on some devices as internal components started breaking down, just something to be aware of.
