geek4me: Ok, thanks. I guess I had put more trust in the address checker then I should. Perhaps a note should be added to say that the results are only a general reference to whats available in the area and recommend that users ring the Help Desk to make sure. Asking for a specific street number like 8B is a little misleading if it is indeed only a general reference to whats available in the area.

The popup box asking for your address already says this

"Enter your address details below and we'll tell you what Vodafone services may be available in that area"

and

"Please use this as a guide as a full service check is only possible when we process an application.  In some cases, as a result of further checks, some services may not be available"

I covered this already in the thread

" Here are the Vodafone services we may be able to offer you at "

Hey folks,

I understand the address checker is being worked on - there are a number of different databases it has to draw from.

If anyone thinks they can get cable at their address & the address checker says they can't, or want to double-check that it can, feel free to PM me, as I can take a look at the internal site information tools that are a little more robust - or get a tech out there for a physical property check if need be. The address details are updated after property checks, and can be manually updated if necessary.

Cheers,

 - Nik

It may be worth repeating for the benefit of the community the distance from street to house a cable install is... as I recall it was 70m with no option for householder to pay to cover additional lengths.
