What phone did you get the phone for free with the 25% bonus airtime? All the existing free phone deals are GSM not 3G.

freitasm:  I haven't heard anything from Vodafone though. So I am not aware of any tests being conducted before the requirement came into power.

That is correct, Vodafone New Zealand did not take part in the soft launch of mobile number portabilty (as far as in-porting goes). Only got them selves to blame I guess.

Anyway, back to the question............................

You had OCCF (standard diverts) diverting calls to +6421700100 When you did not have the actual VMS (Voicemail) activated.

The Nokia 6234 is a good phone, just make sure you get the lastest Software update as some of the older softwares are pigs., You can do it at home with software from the Nokia site.

Then how does that explain that I could setup the voicemail, as well as have it play the correct greeting when I called it from a Vodafone phone? Undecided and thanks for the tip about the software

Possibly just an internal link? Unsure about that one. there could have been a crosslink somwhere I can only imagine. I have had it before and am still having a similar problem on iTalk where I cannot call other numbers through callplus (like GoTalk calling cards)
