Please do the following tests:

Open up a command prompt and type the following:

tracert geekzone.co.nz

press enter.

Paste your results back to this thread and I'm sure someone will be able to help identify the issue.

You just missed it, he has :)

Also, Im not sure if this is a related problem at all but I can't seem to load PBTech.co.nz on my VF connection (traceroutes show up fine though).

For me no its still not working. Can't connect to any of the websites or games from my first post. It manages to make it to geekzone through trace routes but anything else like me trying to load geekzone it won't load.

It's strange because Facebook and Google load fine.

But it doesn't solve the ping issue I get in games which happen randomly.

I'm now having the same exact issue. Tested from multiple devices on my VF connection all using various DNS settings including VF's DNS and Google's DNS. Traceroutes seem to be fine, just won't load the sites (trademe.co.nz) won't work either.

If it helps I'm in Glenfield, Auckland (figured I'd piggyback on this thread as it seems to be the same issue here).

UPDATE: Seems to be only an issue with NZ hosted content.

UPDATE: Some traceroutes to the sites that aren't loading.

I'm having the same problem here in Timaru - Vodafone fixed line broadband - random sites are not loading or a VERY slow.
I did notice on some sites, ie, the link to the Vodafone forum hangs on "s7.addthis.com"

Multiple computers in house all having same problem.

Definitely a weird issue. Hopefully JohnR will get to the bottom of it when he gets into the office ;).

Everything seems to be working okay now.

I can now access all problematic websites and even get into League.
However the ping is still slightly higher then average (80ms where it should be around 65ms) when in a game. I'm gonna assume that there were some faults in the CDN parts of things?

because it seems to be that anything in Australia or anything that needs to run through that ihug server generates the really high latency.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was related the iOS update yesterday. It really did smash the internet.
