Okay, I give up with the salesperson I am dealing with. They just ignored my calculations to suggest that the "Black plan is much better value because it gives me 6GB data with 1GB block data free and free 4G capability, all for $179".

Actually, I could get all of that for $159 with Red Super + 2GB of extra data through an add-on (it already comes with 1Gb block data and 4G).

John - is your invitation to PM details still open - I'd like someone who knows a bit more about the higher data plan to get in touch with me. I am a big data user and I really would like to understand the value proposition here.

Every time I have done the figures prepay has won out over the plans for lots of data even with the handset subsidy spread over the months of the term. $50 per 3 gigs leaves lots of money to pay the phone off compared to the plans if you do not put any value on unlimited texts and don't use many mins.

Fantastic - It is like the Amex Black / Visa Black where if you had to ask, you probably are not eligible for it :D

Yes thats a good idea, Call of duty hacks (I mean scripts) really going to get us in the right direction for Vodafone Black packages. I do recall stating multiple times it isnt an off the shelf product.

Actually I expected to bring up something else large, black, and not safe for work. It was meant to be funny.

I suspect that the issue is that when I (and a number of other contributors to this thread) have asked vodafone CS about it, we are told it is the same as the Red Super but with 6GB data.  Which appears very much ‘off-the-shelf’ to me, if this isn’t the case, then perhaps it is the CS people who need to explain it better to your customers.  I had specifically asked if there were any other differences (as I thought roaming was different) and I was told the only differences were the amount of data and the price.

If this isn’t the case, please elaborate.

You don't need their permission to post the plan you are on.

Please post the plan details. They're not a secret, you're not subject to a NDA, they're available to anyone who calls and asks. It seems like various people are being given different information from different CSRs so by you telling us exactly what it is then we're all going to be better (and correctly) informed.

Why do you need their permission? The ONLY reason to get their permission if you ARE working for Vodafone

Dratsab: Covert Vodafone special ops stuff. Involves johnr's black helicopter...

I believe it is only available if your surname is Dotcom.
