Does anyone know?  It’s mentioned in the T&C’s of the red package but I can’t find it on the VF site anywhere.

Cheers

Andy

Yes you know, or yes it’s your helicopter, or both?

Either way, spill the beans...

Yes I've also been waiting to see what this is about. It seems to have been 'released' the same time as the Red packages (references to it in the T&Cs as mentioned by the OP), but there's been nothing on the site about it since!

Hi,

Black packages are not avaliable straight off the shelf. Please call a sales agent and query for further info. (I can arrange a call back, PM me.)

Thanks.

Are they designed for personal or business users?

I called sales about the Black plan and the person really struggled to talk me through things. At first, she said there were no personal black, then after some prodding, came back to tell me a bit more about it (am I allowed to divulge or is it a state secret?), but then again couldn't answer any specific questions I had around what extras the plan comes with.

Strange! Vodafone is trying to be American Express, and not very successfully :)

Sounds like Vodafone has taken a leaf out of Theresa Gattung's 'Confusion as a marketing tactic' book

Yeah just tell us. It's not a secret as such as anyone can find out about it, you just have to call first.

Sorry, don't want to ruin a Vodafone surprise if that's what it is - I'll save on spilling the beans.

However, I will say that the economics of the plan don't make sense, and from what I gather from the salesperson who tried to tell me about the plan, you can get everything on the Black plan for less by choosing a cheaper plan and buying add-ons.

Then again, it could just be that the salesperson doesn't know enough about it, and that there are specialised people who sell this plan who know exactly why it's better value. And then again, maybe not...

It's all about which colour helicopter JohnR will arrive in when you have a problem with your Vodafone connection. Other than that "there is no spoon"

I called Vodafone and asked them about that out of curiosity and it was for business connections only, about $200/month with unlimited NZ and Aus calling (even includes calls while roaming in Aus apparently), unlimited text and about I think 4 or 6GB of mobile data included if I remember correctly...

Well now that it's been outed a bit more - it's 6GB for $179 (with your own phone) or $249 (you get a smartphone with the plan similar to the Red plan).

Now, what I'm struggling with is the Red Super plan also offers unlimited talk/texts (as does the essentials and normal plan). So it's 2GB extra data for $50/$80 more. But buying 2GB as an add-on is $30 more if you're already on the 4GB Red Super plan.

I'm assuming there's more to the Black plan than that...!
