It has had a visual facelift which has mad it look uglier... and it had one other update to address freezing and pixelation.

It still shudders from time to time and has the slowest sluggish response of any PVR I have ever seen.

If you are on cable you will get Vodafone TV via cable. The set top box used for this is the T-box. Cable is the only way it is currently served. Soon to be rolled out in parts of Auckland via UFB. Vodafone use a deal with sky to supply TV to non cable areas at the moment. I'm not 100% sure but I think you have to use the T-box option if you are in a cable area, unless you go direct to sky of course.

This is correct, T-Box is now used for both Cable and Fibre customers, However standard Sky boxes are used for customers outside of Cable and Fibre areas.

I'm currently on cable / inhome WarpSpeed 100G with Vodafone. I also have Sky with Sky themselves, hated the T-Box.

I noticed I can now go to UFB - what will this add over cable? Are there any benefits?

Also noticed that some pictures on Vodafone site were of the Sky decoder not the T-Box, does this mean they are no longer using the T-Box and no longer having all the issues? It would be cheaper for me to combine them all but heard lots of issues with the T-Box so haven't bothered.

Coz just noticed recently what with Wellington council employees running around everywhere with their spray cans marking where all the cables are in the streets. I have Citylink, UFB, and Vodafone running past my front gate. Good bargaining options when my Vodafone contract next comes up for renewal.

Or is this Cable, UFB, Fibre, etc just marketing office names for the various telco broadband services on fibre optic cable...

In the same way copper services run back to a fibre connected cabinet, Cable services run back to a fibre connected node.
