tehgerbil: I'm of the view when you upgrade major versions of Apps you should perform a clean removal and reinstall.

I attempted to help a few people in the Vista - Win 7 'upgrade'. I noted that when users installed Win 7 clean, it worked 100% of the time. When they performed an 'upgrade' it worked 20-30% of the time!

So, if it's rolled out I'm going to do precisely that and wipe her clean and start afresh.

I am running Wanamlite 4.3, basically Samsung with the crap removed, and I concur with Langers, its full of bugs. I also did a wipe and load before putting it on.

I guess I just want the TRIM support above all. Back to waiting and trolling johnr's posts for updates!

Still waiting for the official update.

I'm guessing we won't be getting it until at least February next year for a 4.3 update on VNZ/TNZ and 2Degree version.

We usually get it around 3-4 months after the rest of the world. I don't think Samsung is valuing us as much because we are only a small quantity toward their sales target.

If there is a GPE version of S3 I9300 ROM then I would jump on to it and never look back. But only CM is available and it is not very stable at the moment.

Let's hope so mate. Getting sick of 4.1.2 already.

May be if you could leak the test ROM ... lol. If you know what I mean :P

So, do you know what is/are new with the 4.3 update?

Eg: Camera feature(s) and stability? The EMC2 ROM has NFC bug/background apps get reload/Browser crashes..etc.

I'm hoping for a better RAM usage as well.

S3 4.3 updates are apparently 'on hold' as many users in other countries of the new ROMs found numerous bugs.

Haven't seen any new countries roll out for about a week or more now

Have you heard about the update being pulled in the UK and if that will have any impact on the update for us?

So which one are you talking about? Please tell me it's not the bug riddled 4.3 on the S3, it's terrible. Seems ironic that after all the waiting I now DON'T want the update as it stands ;o)
