i4n: Lost all access at 6:00 pm tonight on Kapiti Cable.
Had ping times to 8.8.8.8 that were up to of 1581ms

When I finally got through to technical assistance 4hrs later, due to overloaded queues on the help desk.

They reset the cable modem.
Then we hooked the PC direct to the cable modem and fixed the DNS settings to
Had to reset my DNS in the router to the telstraclear dns settings that are in the sticky at the top.

Also having issues in kapiti and only seems to happen at peak times and for no more than say 20 minutes. Very frustrating for a gamer. I suspect overloading.

ChCh here, Yep same issue, Reddit loads really slowly even though its 15ms away, every other site I go to tends to have some issue with a document (js, css etc) loading far later than others, Facebook and Gmail are fine with their HTTPS connections.

I just moved from a Snap ADSL connection that was on dodge phone lines and yet that was still quicker and more consistent page load times.

Edit: 20s connection times, and 3-4KB/s file transfers https://i.imgur.com/zIiptZn.png
