Ironically Tony has 3 dialup accounts, lives in a rural area and ... well need I say any more?

I'm in Christchurch on the phone/digital tv/20GB High Speed cable plan. Cable internet is just the best IMO. Love it. Not so with digital TV but will save it for another thread.

I have a 1gig up and down ftth connection at home, and pretty much the same at work, ctually work is a little slower. Dial up is like cutting your wrists slowly!

If my FTTH ever goes down! (we had a big earthquake last night 4.5), NTT has provided me with a dial up access number and account details.

So yes i have one that i can use anywhere in japan!

Cable all the way at Mt.Victoria... The speed is incredible the cable line is thick and after midnight I will be upgraded to 40gb with 10/2

What's the point of getting a 1.5meg or 24meg or 100meg service if you can't use it!

It's like buying a car and having the car salesman say,

look i know you paid for the car an all, but you can only drive it on wenesdays and fridays!

Because all other times we want to use it ourselves.

So thats a half service then? maybe thats why everyone is having so much trouble getting connected their services connected too, because they are getting half a service...

I love TCL services

just upgraded yesterday to a 40GB 10MBPS pla.
I too have the Trip Service 40GB + Sky Sports and Movies etc.etc as well as Domain Name hosting etc.

Every month since I have been a customer I seem to want to switch up my plan - Im finally happy with the Light speed package.
That is not due to TCL faults I'm just very indecisive

semi off topic, but; its nothing like that, its like leasing a performance car for using on the roads, but being told you won't be able to do full speed all the time because of traffic.

but if the government would invest more (directly) into building the major arterial routes the congestion would lower.

Still waiting for my PDQ to be installed, have gone for

PDQ MAX

Not in a cable served area (Auckland). Have no issues really with using DSL. We had the old Telstraclear DSL plans previously when it was limited at 3.5 for speed. The house we are in now is 1.5km from the exchange and we are on a new card so hopefully the internet shouldn't be that bad depending on the copper inbetween I guess.

Also have the phone line with Telstra.
Will let you know about the internet once it works.

Stuck on PDQ, no HFC Network in Auckland.
If I could get a job in WGTN/CHCH I'd be tempted to move just for the Internet/Phone/TV services available
