I have taken the warranties on a couple of things that I know i'll use so much that they will fail in the extra 12 months.

But I screwed them to the wall for the warranty then after they dropped the "pricing" for the warranty, I played "i have changed my mind about the camera" and suddenly I got the whole lot $20 cheaper than for the camera alone.

And the camera has been back 3 times, each time I reset the picture counter so it did not show it's been around the 1000 clock 9 times.... 3rd time, I got a shiny new one, Thanks extended waranty!

Noel Leeming and Bond and Bond have great return policies.

You can return any product within 14 days for any reason and get a full refund, as long as you have packaging.

I did this with a $5,000 plasma TV i purchased two years ago, the delay of the plasma meant I couldn't play games on it... i then bought an LCD 1 year later.
