johnr:
Which part of this is about bestmate on Account

None of it, but its quite relevant when discussing vodafones late and lame offers.

Prepay to on account migration was promised first when? mid 2006 I think was the first time, possibly earlier, and look, mid 2007 and still cant happen. Likewise for onaccount bestmates.

Vodafone:
Any day now....

Feed that into the Tui billboard generator ;)

That there always seems to be a lack of communication on Vodafone's part.

Perhaps CSR's are just making assumptions on dates?

If they don't know, they should just say they arn't sure.

Not give a date they just pulled out of fat air.

I sent them an email but it was an expected answer

A vodafone staff wrote

Thank you for your email.

I have looked into our records and unfortunately Vodafone NZ does not have any information about the release of new pricing plans at this time of writing however please visit our web site in the near future for more information.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Ever considered the possibility that the person (yes, the person) actually is not aware of any proposed release of Vodafone bestmate? People are not idiots for telling you what you don't want to hear.

You know, they often refrain from telling everyone about commercially sensitive information (as it would probably be leaked to the competition and also posted on forums)?

Vodafone's custhelp site still says BestMate On Account and multiple BestMates will be available in 2007. This has been updated from the original content which said early 2007. I heard the other day there are possibly at least 50000 On Account customers experiencing problems with their plans, billing and services (such as the BAL & MYA) after the migration so it's hardly surprising Vodafone aren't actually changing anything at present.

I understand Vodafone aren't willing to spill everything but in relation to Bestmate On Account this has been around for a while and the only thing you could really call commercially sensitive if that is a date.  It's obvious they are going to do it it's just a matter of when, what gets me is that CSR's are telling people totally different things and it seems like no one has an idea of what is going on..
Not suprising for such a large organisation but this is something that's been dragged on since the beginning of the year.
OR they are trying to under promise and over deliver.
