overkill: Will you look at a full remote control IP controlled App in the future? If you do please please please have an open API so third party control systems can integrate the box easily :)

The speed up of the remote channel changing will have me giving the thumbs up to potential clients now, this is an awesome update for the T-Box.

Yes please!!!! Could make use of the second lan port for telnet or similar control, otherwise it would have to go through the internet?

Unless you could let people connect it to their LAN instead of the dedicated modem

I'm assuming there's a delay with the app as it's not on the Play store as yet, is it the power cut that's holding it up wink

Hi everyone

Well - the iOS version is live now! Here's a link to the Vodafone TV app on the iOS App Store. You'll need that direct link for the next couple of hours apparently until the search updates. I'll post again when I have the Google Play Store link.

Cheers

Dylan

ZollyMonsta:
TuiKiwi: iOS delay - waiting on Apple to approve app? Or is it not finished yet? Hope it's not too far away!

Yup. Apple don't seem to give any indication when/if an app is going to be approved and appear. Looks like the Playstore isn't showing it yet either. Another team is handling the app release. The new software for the Vodafone Digital TV Recorder will be released Monday afternoon.

Cheers
Grant

Very nice Mr T... Tell the boss Ms D you've done good... 4 years later and still sticking to roadmap....!

Unless you power-cycle.

If you do that now, you will get the new software 3.5.2 build 3.

Cheers,

Must say I can't notice any particular improvement in channel changing speed but the app is great even if it is years late compared to the Sky offering

Channel tune improvement is on direct three digit entry and tuning by selecting channel in guide.

+1  any times to that.

I am trying to get iRule going and for the T-Box not only do I have to use IR but I had to learn all the IR codes since they don't exist in any database provided by any vendor (either Global Cache or iRule). That was tedious.

Doing it over IP would be much better and just connecting the second LAN port to your network would be a seamless way to do it.

Hi should I have the update by now? My settings say I'm on IPG 3.3.2 I've pulled the power plug left for 30 seconds and restarted, twice.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Interesting... All of my VF movie channels (200+) now show "intermission" for the next week or so and I can view every single one of them for free... not that there is anything interesting on at the moment..
