NonprayingMantis: either it's a mistake,  or they're trying to offset being officially the worst telco for customer service in the history of the world by buying people's love with data.

I'm picking mistake.

Some people just make me shake my head. Have you ever had a single interaction with an American Telco? Tried dealing with Australian Telcos?

fair enough.  I have amended my hyperbole to be more accurate

Yeah for all we rag on Vodafone, compare them to Comcast for instant love and affection for them lol

Can't remember what plan I'm on so tried logging into Vodafone:

Fired up 'My Vodafone' on my Android phone and entered my phone number as required and got the following:

Riiiiiight...guess I'll just have to wait until a time when the server isn't experiencing technical difficulties.

I am really regretting taking the advice of Vodafone and choosing to change plans...can't honestly say I am on a bad plan, but I go through my data like there's no tomorrow and to be honest the cobbled-together plan I have that gives me 2GB a month leaves me constantly second-guessing my data use.

the key thing to note though, is that I chose to change - I could have stuck to my guns and remained on Smart 1, but when push cane to shove, 4G and $5 roaming were more important to me at the time.

grrr.....

Still - as others have said...they're not bad to deal with and they offer fairly decent value in the greater scheme of things.

Weird, it's the 11th March, but no change in allocation.
So perhaps this was a mistake.. I'll phone them after lunch to see what's up.

The data allocation has been increased from 3GB to 5GB, but My Vodafone has not been updated yet to show the change. If you hit 5GB you'll now get Data Angel, where you can choose to purchase additional data blocks as you need them. That has much better value than the overage rates. :)

Enjoy.
