timmmay: My Mum tried the wireless Vodafone product in Wanganui a few years ago. It was so awful she got rid of it less than a week later. Maybe it's improved, but if you're going to go for that do a bit of research first.
I'd just switch to Telecom (for simplicity for your Mum) and go cooper only.

It's pretty rare for this to be the case.
When cable is installed the copper is typically just rejumpered at the demark. Moving back to Chorus is a 5 min job for a tech.

Was she impacted by an echo issue? The units now are 3G and much better now

The wireless connection at my Mother in Laws place is terrible.
You may recall a conversation we had sometime ago re taking several hours for a text to get through in Raumati South.
By the way which you never fully answered, after we sorted out the wrong number situation.
