Hey NikT - just wondering if you ended up managing to find out anything from the Semble guys?

Waiting to hear back, shouldn't be more than a day or so.

EDIT: Not on the whitelist, was low priority as it's the Telecom variant - it's being requested. Will let you know once approved. May require testing, though I certainly don't expect any issues there.

Thanks NikT - Hopefully after a while the carrier whitelists will get a bit more in sync otherwise I can sense issues in future with people porting numbers around the place and suddenly finding their Semble not working if not. (I haven't taken a close look but I'm assuming there's quite a few devices that aren't on another carrier's list)

Have heard back about this, it's unfortunately a little more complicated than I'd hoped. It had already been tested & had failed testing.

Because the S III is running 4.3 Jelly Bean, there is an issue in the way Semble works with Vodafone NFC SIMs - our implementation is slightly different from that used by Spark and 2degrees. Samsung issued a software update for the Vodafone NZ variant of the i9300 that resolved this, but have not done so for the i9300T or the 2degrees variant of the i9300 as this was not necessary for those network operators.

As such, Semble will not work with Vodafone on the i9300T or 2degrees i9300.

This is not an issue on 4.4+. Technically it is possible to flash an i9300T with Vodafone NZ software, but we cannot endorse this, support it, or guarantee Semble would work afterwards.

Sorry it's not the answer we were hoping for, but this is why the i9300T has not been whitelisted.

Thanks,

 - Nik

Bugger - unfortunate but understandable given the circumstances

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to upgrade to a S6 to fix the issue! :)
