downhill: My new connection to VFX only took a couple of days to come online (existing and v happy XNet Customer) The entire process was painless and it seems to work as advertised - great to have all those extra services at no extra cost. - definitely a Happy Camper here!!

Now, if only Maverick and his band of Voip Geeks could come up with a small app for the iPhone that would let me talk on my iPhone over my Wifi through my WAG Box/VFX..... it would be magic!!!   Any other VFX users also iPhone users?  cheers

Unfortunately the iPhone doesn't have a native SIP stack. There are plenty of developers keen to develop such an application so hopefully something will appear in the not too distant future!

With the built in Nokia SIP stack in my E65 I can connect to my Asterisk box at home over WiFi and make a call as if I was at home.

Hmm, on a related note, can anyone tell me how long it takes, to "port" a number from a telecom landline, onto VFX?

Basically, I'm moving house....  And I was advised to:

a)  Get VFX with a new number first , esp since it's free since I'm using Xnet (in the midst of doing that now)
b)  About four days before I move, port my current landline number over to VFX, which would also mean cutting the current phone/adsl service.
c)   Advise WorldxChange of my my new address, get my ADSL with Xnet and Telecom connection running back up at new place (hopefully with Naked DSL) too....

So for step c) too, anyone know how long it'll take?

Thanks!

I was told 3 to 5 days, it took only 2.  I would tell WxC everything from the start and leave it up to them.
