leo0787sx: Guess I'll have to move from Vodafone :( Not a biggie as my Sky is with Sky TV anyway, will only loose the $10 on mobile discount. Snap seems to have to best rated latency in NZ so probably go with them?

Which would be a good option? I stream HD and game on PS4/PC , usually have around 4 devices connected at one time and my Router is the Nighthawk AC1900.

100/20

With this use case, I'd recommend the 200/20 Unlimited plan...I have this on Snap, and regularly achieve 190 down within NZ, and well over 100 down from the U.S. Also frequently have 5 x HD streams running to separate devices with no issues. No peak use time issues that I've observed (and that's usually when I want to use it , so I would be likely to see any issues.

I'd say the 3 ISP's to consider for Fibre depending on your exact needs (and availability in your area) are Snap, MyRepublic, and BigPipe.

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup. Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

Just looking at Snap and apparently I have to use their router/phone in order to have a landline? Would my existing phone be obsolete?

I have a good Router (Nighthawk AC1900) so I can just connect it to the Optic Network Termination right?

I'd go for the 100/20, that's all I have and it is more than sufficient for HD streaming and gaming.

With Snap VoIP you connect the phone to the Fritz!Box router that they supply, not to the ONT.

You can plug any phone into it, or just back feed it into your existing wiring to liven up any existing phone jacks.

EDIT: The copper running into your house must be disconnected from the Chorus network before you can back feed into your existing wiring. They should do this for you as part of the install.

Just a heads up, I got fibre in a cable area when I asked nicely to a Vodafone rep on here.
