DV130 in stock at PBTech.
Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.
why not do it the way that has been suggested? use the current device to do the ADSL connection, the NAT and the DHCP and just let the Apple device do the wireless etc?

It seems that you can't assign more than 5 sticky DHCP addresses in his modem, and wants to use more than 10. I suspect that just assigning lease times of 24 hours would solve it, but the OP seem more comfortable configuring the Apple gear, so probably just easier that way.
DV130 @ PB Tech - showing 4 in stock at North Shore.
I have a Draytek Vigor 130 (DV130) I can sell you if you are still after one. I used it with my AirPort Extreme's along with my ADSL connection - pretty seamless. No longer need as I have moved to Fibre
FAT, where are you, I am just finishing water blasting the house, and cutting everyones sneakers in 2, then I can come pay/collect!
Will send you a PM, I'm on the Shore, fwiw.

2 Queries:
1. Will the setup just pop the DV before the HG659B and the modem/router Airport Extreme?
So the DV130 does authentication or whatever, the HG659B dos the VLAN10 tagging and the Apples just do the dhcp/nat like before, they gave addresses that never suffered any conflicts...
Vodafone ADSL Input ----------> RJ45 Port DV130 EXIT Ethernet LAN Port ----------> Ethernet WAN Port HG659B (WiFi OFF) Ethernet LAN1 ----------> WAN Port AEBS (WiFi ON)
AEBS LAN1 ----------> WAN Port 'Sure-Signal
AEBS LAN2 ----------> WAN Port Apple TV
AEBS LAN3 ----------> WAN Port Apple Time Capsule Base Station (WiFi ON)
AEBS LAN4 ----------> WAN Port Apple Desktop Computer
2. Someone wonders, if there come sort of IP issue, outside of my control, and says ask for them to give the house a static Ip, and check stuff properly at their end, how am I best to go about this, its really difficult to get quality assistance w/this ISP?
Again, I should have said thank you more clearly, and come here for help earlier.
h
why do you still want the Hauwai in the mix?
True eh? Sweet, thats seriously hot bananas, so to be clear, DV130 can do authentication & VLAN10 tagging on the WAN side of things, yeah, send my internet to the modem/router which is simply h-aebs?
Things are looking up if this is the case, I will, summarily, execute the HG659B out of principle.
Starting to feel happy, some cut sneakers, buggar.
As your simply on adsl, you dont need to worry about vlan tagging at all. Your simply going to be doing a PPPoA to PPPoE translation setup which the DV130/120 is capable of.

Any comments made are personal opinion and do not reflect directly on the position my current or past employers may have.
1) Set the DV130 to PPPoA-PPPoE bridge mode (forget the exact name they call it)
2) Plug LAN DV130 to WAN AEBS
3) Configure WAN (Internet) of AEBS to use PPPoE connection. Enter your Vodafone name/password in the AEBS PPPoE settings. Leave the "service name" field empty.
4) Enable DHCP/NAT on the AEBS
In this setup, the DV130 is taking the PPPoATM ADSL connection, and turning it into a PPPoEthernet connection that the AEBS understands. The AEBS is your main router, doing the authentication, and providing NAT/DHCP. Because of the PPPoA-PPPoE translation, you have no requirement for a VLAN10 tag.

RunningMan & Co,
A lady here, who's just turned up, her name is actually Uuber, she understand implicitly why some of you are Uber Geeks, thank you.
Soon as my supplier tehehe gets back to me, I will be grabbing his DV130 and hopefully be watching films, playing music while a plethora of ipcams & whatnot operated silently, seamlessly.
Again, kudos to GZ & the Uber Geeks, cheers,
H
RunningMan, hio77, Spyware, naturally freitasm & of course firefuze,
A huge thank you, yesterday between frantically searching under the house, & in the pink batts for something, & running the odd internet cable (They are all too short, need 3 x 15m ethernet cables, or I might jemmy up telephone cable to do the job as I am cashless) well between doing all his poorly I managed to plug one of the aforementioned manky telephone cords into the little DV130 (its so awesome firefuze) popped an ethernet cable from it,to my old Apple & waited... while waiting I noted the DV's menu's etc, wow its a very good product, I (who I again must add who knows very very little) still recognised it as a quality bit of kit immediately - bit more waiting... reset on the AEBS & she (all) ran... perfectly too I might add, today IP's assigned are all still the same, this is with very very little setup, virtually none - I am sure, you guys would tune it, make it faster whatnot but its just humming, 'click, snap, just instant' - best of all, its still all working.
Only thing (you will laugh) not working is the sureSignal, likely hunting for 192.168.1.x but stuff is all at 10.0.0.x. Is the Enterprise sure/Signal much better, or back to a Cel-Fi rip-off... or maybe just finding out how to setup the VSSignal suitably (ahhh, heres something online, just that I do not trust these instructions anymore)....
Just need some Ethernet cables now, like a spiders web in here, and I can put the house back together & get a flatmate lol
This was, as usual, an extremely simple problem, but it cost me literally, 100's of hours, millions of brain cells, typical;ly simplicity being the hardest thing to achieve...
Common sense, the least commonly used sense by humans,
As we stand..
See my Spiders Web.. thats the ATC, leads to the brekkie bar and joins the sureSignal & appleTV heading inside the AEBS via LAN ports, AEBS WAN ----> DV130 perfection.
Good result
With the sure signal, try turning it off for a few minutes, make sure it is connected with an ethernet cable to a LAN port on the first AEBS (the one connected to the DV130) and then give it time - as I understand it, they can take quite some time to come online when they see a new network or location.
great news!
as above, give the sure signal a little while to settle in. if it still isnt happy by tomorrow, have a word with @johnr and he will likely be able to indicate the best method to go through to make it happy again.
As for the siderweb, considered floor mounting instead? being the tallest in the house, i often have i liking for cables to be low rather than... in my face!
