Thanks for your reply Mr Knowitall; but you are talking about the zerohand off feature which is supported on the non 802.11 AC APs but still in development for the AC models. If I had meant zero handoff I would have said zero handoff or ZH.

 

 

 

And I'll be sure to tweak some settings once it's been out of the box for more than a week and once the houses around me are built. The point is that this soolves the issue of ISP routers having realtively poo wifi performance

UniFi kit DOES NOT support roaming. 802.11r and 802.11k roaming is currently in alpha. Until this is in place the roaming capabilities of the UniFi hardware are NO different to any other brand of 802.11 access point - roaming decisions are made by the client hardware and are not hardware assisted.

As you mention zero handoff was previously supported in gen 1 hardware. Zero handoff is not true roaming and will cause more problems that it solves unless you're fully aware of exactly how it works. The fact it was such a bad solution is one of the main reasons it was pulled, and zero handoff will never appear on the gen 2 AC hardware.
