User93:joshp: VFX will be 2 simultaneous calls i.e 1 in 1 out or 2 in or 2 out.
DVX is the same, if you purchase 3 sim calls you will have a mixture of calls up to three simultaneous calls. DVX also allows for other DDI's associated with the trunk and expansion of sim calls.
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers
JoshMakes perfect sense thanks.
Also in terms of FAX & EFTPOS on VFX lines, do these work reliably? Do you need to enable "data quality" or anything similar for FAX & EMAIL? (Or any special codecs?)
I was thinking of using something like a SPA2102 to provide analogue ports for some EFTPOS machines, (and bypassing the asterisk server), does your service allow for multiple SIP logins on the same account? (Could I configure both ports on the SPA2102 to use the same VFX account, and could they both process EFTPOS transactions simultaneously?)
EFTPOS generally works fine , we have an EFTPOS install company that actaully installs there units on VFX devices, Fax also generally works well but occassionally can have issues, you would need the 2102 for this,
EFTPOS uses G711 codec's
Absoultly no for multiple logons for a single SIP account, very bad security hole that one

Trunks are different one sip account with concurrent calls (2, 3, 4, 5 etc) but required a certified device Epigy Quadro, SPA9000 etc , possibly Asterisk in the future.
