MikeAqua:
Agree to sign up for ADSL and see what happens
Sounds intelligent wasting both parties time for no benefit.

Gee, overreact much?
Sorry but here on planet earth some customers/prospective customers do expect companies to honour their promises. Two months ago a Vodafone rep promised that VF would stop spamming the OP and this hasn't stopped. I can see why she's unimpressed. As someone who has worked in various roles for large, reputable organisations that include being the last line of complaints handling before things reach the execs or the board, I tend to discipline staff members (and have fired some) who stink up my work's reputation like that. Some of us have higher standards I guess.
I don't really care that much either way. It's not a biggie. I just got a little tired of receiving these repeated ADSL offers when I tried for years to get ADSL or any other form of broadband and was repeatedly told it was not possible. I don't know how far away the nearest cabinet is. It might be 10 kms. I just know it cannot be any closer than 5-6 kms unless a new one has been installed, which I'm pretty sure is not the case. If you read this thread from the beginning, I never asked Mike Hales for help. I merely stated my complaint. But he said he could fix it so I took him at his word and I thanked him for his efforts when I sent him my details in a PM. I am not being rude, just expressing my annoyance that this is still going on. Obviously this is not going to get sorted. I am moving on.
