I think if you have an Office365 subscription you can have an outlook.co.nz address.

...but, isn't the whole thing that you can keep your ISP email address? It's just forwarded to a non-ISP email server.

I was getting too much spam in my IHUG E-Mail so I went through all my contacts and asked them to change to my gmail address, I've been using gmail ever since without a problem (this has been for more than a decade).  I had an invite for gmail that I used to join up, couldn't just create an account at the time - I've had my main gmail account for quite a while now!

I've never seem a service that requires a .co.nz address.

All good ideas/comments etc but I shall decide in the end on that which suits me best.

I run my own mail systems because, well I can. But a really funny thing with my gmail account is I have one guy in London and another in Texas with almost exact same name as me that keep subsribing to things using my address. Apparently I have a DirectTV account! I have left both of them voicemails but they keep using my address. I assume they are using slight differences on my account name (which is without add-on numbers etc).

@Gradine The decision to turn off email I am 100% sure would of come from the executive level to start with, I would put money on it that it did

Where did you see webmail access being available? That's not how it will operate. Mail will only be forwarded - you will have no access to webmail services which will be shut down.

I did use the word "may" but will stand corrected if it isn't available.

I still haven't figured out why VF only went 1/2 measure in getting rid of email, they should have just pulled the plug on incoming email as well, guess they will take another tug at the band aid later on down the track and give the customers some more pain.......

Regardless of the whole ISP contract issue (my view of which my personal view is that I see no reason for you to be able to legally exit a contract just because of the email service being stopped) I'm really puzzled as to why anybody would change ISP just to get another ISP email address.

 

Many ISP's now don't offer email. It's something that's becoming an increasingly difficult product to offer and when there are literally hundreds of free option, the vast majority of which are all a far higher quality product than that Vodafone offered, let alone the paid options which can range from a few $ per month upwards for email tied to your own domain there simply no reason I can fathom why anybody would use an ISP email address. If it's just a throwaway address changing ISP for that seems rather dramatic.

 

 

 

I think the only reason people use ISP email addresses, is becuase people get phone support for setting it up and if there are any problems, which you don't get with free providers. Not everyone is technical . With free providers like gmail, you have to do it all yourself.. Although with android phones and gmail, it makes it all really easy.
