Well. for me it's like saving money... anything I don't need I can save and buy something big someday... for data it's much the same, Maybe I only use 1GB per month of my 4GB data cap but it would be nice to be able to roll that over for up 2 a year then maybe I'll go on holiday where there's no wifi and I can tether my ipad to my phone and watch netflicks etc.. I think there must be a lot of money to be lost in having this and that's why they are so anti roll over.

I guess it means the same as all the customers on pre-pay that you already make it available to. I have differing requirements each month. Some months I use very little and other months when I am away from home for a week or two I use a lot. It would be nice to be able to save up the unused portion of my data for use when needed.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Having read this 3 times I still can't believe that a representative from Vodafone posted this as a genuine question. It highlights just how out of touch you are with your consumer base.

Exactly , I was in hospital for a while back , roll over data that i could of fallen back on and used would of been the value to me .But as i am an on account customer my data i don't use vanishes each month

It's because they want you to buy extra data rather then let you use what you didn't use last month.

Vodafone are now the ONLY Telco that don't have carry over for all customers,

Spark have it on prepay and postpay

Skinny have it

degrees on prepay and postpay

@senecio Actually, we're all customers as well as representatives. I'm coming at it from the point of view that I never use all my data but don't worry about unused as new allowance following month - same for my wife's account, for which I pay. I'm just trying to get a clearer picture of the unused data point.

So, if you don't finish a meal in a restaurant, you expect to get extra next time you eat there?

No, but when I eat at a restaurant I only order what I need to satisfy my hunger for that meal. I would also expect to be offered a box so that I could take it home and finish it later.

Wow .. those answers seem so out of touch with reality.

Im with 2Degrees and now that Pokemon Go is using significantly more data than it did a year ago, I am very grateful that I can tap into data that carried over a year ago and continue playing rather than not play because I have used all my data for the month and next month hasn't started yet.

Vodafone, I've gotta say you're doing a terrible job painting a good picture of yourself in this thread. Might be a good idea to take a step back and think about the many different type of customers you have. If you're unaware of how people other than yourself might want to use data and phone plans, you've missed the mark!

How about sending your on account customers a text asking if they would like carry over on account plans. reply yes or no.
