yeah I am one of most unlucky people ever and known as a jinx because if anything is going to go wrong it will with me family say. But at least my adsly then vdsl was rock solid. And then get fibre and not even a week and packs up. Thats life but me me wonder if I made mistake going fibre even though we wont have a choice in not far future.





HTPC Intel Pentium G3258 cpu, Gigabyte H97n-wifi motherboard, , 8GB DDR3 ram, onboard  graphics. Hauppuage HVR 5500 tuner,  Silverstone LC16M case, Windows 10 pro 64 bit using Nextpvr and Kodi

No, you haven't made a mistake. Fibre is much, much better.

As others have said, fibre is MUCH better. A cable break can happen to either fibre or copper, and it's just bad luck really. The only time my fibre has ever even blinked was when a fencing contractor dug through the cable the other month, other than that it's been rock solid for the last year.

update. I have internet again. The fibre cable was broken at the roadside cabinet so all fixed
