Problem resolved - database is being restored and all services should be running again by now.

Cheers

Paul, I wish I had your confidence that all problems could be sorted on line, but your systems are erratic and don't always work, we have to top up different prepay numbers using different credit cards, there are a number of "services" that are inadequate - and yet you want to charge for CSR inquiries.  Bovine excrement Paul.  If you don't know how bad your system is, then your customers will soon vote with their fingers and perhaps then you will get the message.  Vodafone has become the new Telecom.

Shame!!

You can use the same credit card to top up multiple prepay numbers, I do this.

The rest of it I agree with

You can top up multiple prepay numbers with one credit card only if the prepays are registered to one person, or if the system allows you register a second number to your account.  It wouldn't let me do that - it asked me to login, and when I did that it said that my email address was already on their database and it wouldn't let me do anything else.  Nobody has tested the system for faults properly, and when you phone in (after waiting a long time) the person at the other end can't help and tells you to do it on line!  It's the bulk barn management mentality.  Volume is the most important thing.

You can top up any phone number, regardless of it being registered to yourself or not:

Via IVR:
Dial 777 on the phone your CC is registered to
Goto top up menu
Select Credit Card
[enter security information]
Select 2 to make payment
Select 2 to top up another phone
Enter in other phone number
Enter in amount

Via Website:
Login to My Vodafone (with mobile number card is registered to)
Select Manage your account
Paying/Payments on left menu
[enter credit card details]
Select Pay Prepay/Top Up another phone
Enter in mobile number
Enter in amount

Thanks.  I know the system, just couldn't get it to work via the website.

The point is there are usually at least two different ways to do many of these things (voice service without talking to an operator, online, also via the mobile itself which is the most popular by far) and calling through to speak to a customer rep shouldn't be the FIRST thing you try.

Cheers
