Niel: I have not looked at the details, but appears to be 10c per SMS message:

There is a free API available which GeekZone uses in combination with Clickatell (found an article somewhere).

Easy to do, a three line piece of vbscript can send SMS to anywhere in the world...

coffeebaron:
kfella2000: I have my email notification sent to my Vodafone email address and also have my email notification set up to text me on my cellphone so if someone leaves a voicemessage I get a text sent to my mobile saying there is a new voice message.

Ditto - works well.

Haven't found a way to do this for Telecom Mobiles though :(

I use a service called iPipi (http://www.ipipi.com), I think it's Canadian based, but works with almost any cell phone in the world.  Definitely worked with my Telecom 027, and Vodafone 021 and even my Singapore cell phone.

I'm using one of they're prepaid options, costs something like approx US$9.50 for 50 credits.  1 SMS will take 1 credit.  So that works ous to be about 20 - 30 cents per text (depending on exchange rate).  You have an @ipipi.com email address, which you can then choose to forward to a number of devices.  Can even define rules such that certain messages gets forwarded to certain devices.

Works well with my VFX, and as mentioned, even when I was in Singapore, all I need to do is to change my device to my Singapore cell phone and I'll get my notifications on the cell phone.  VFX just forwards to my @ipipi.com email address.
