I wonder if some people are also having issues related to this new windows 10 Bug? looks like it could interfear with VPN connectivity

If anybody else is managing the IT systems for remote workers and having problems that you've isolated to our network, please PM me or tag me in a post if you're not getting the help you need. Preferably after attempting to log a ticket and/or post here. I've no doubt the same goes for the other RSPs here - we're all trying our best to ensure NZ keeps working through this lockdown.

I'll gather some IP addresses/account numbers on Monday if its still happening.

We have about 100 staff using this VPN and the 7 that were constantly dropping out were all Vodafone customers on a mixtures of ADSL, VDSL and Fibre located across the country.  They all seemed to work or all seemed to get kicked off at the same time as each other.  There was patches where it worked fine for a few hours then they would all tell me they were constantly getting kicked and had to tether their Spark mobile connections to be able to stay connected and work.

I had them run some pings to google.co.nz as well as some internal servers (we dont route internet traffic across the VPN) and only the pings to the internal servers would stop so there internet would keep going normally but the VPN would break but show as connected and we had to manually disconnect then reconnect the VPN and then it would work for anywhere between 5 seconds and a few hours then we would have to reconnect the VPN again.  Same devices, same patch levels across the company and the other approx 90 staff on different ISP's including myself had no drop outs at all so it wasnt CCL's end and they also checked their firewall wasnt overloaded for me.

Most of our users impacted by this we have mitigated by moving them over to accessing their VDI through Citrix Web instead.

their indications has been this has worked alot better, Although this doesnt really help VF in resolving the issue (although I'm sure the folk are pretty busy right now) it is a reminder that sometimes when your having issues it's worth considering your out of the box alternative options.

We got to plan f before we got a working plan for the customer, where plan a - vpn should have worked and did for every other isp, and alot of waste time to get to plan f when we did not have the time too.

We are tethering our company Spark mobiles to get around the issue so users can connect to vpn and work but its expensive so hopefully Voda can fix it soon.

I have removed a couple of posts that were completely unrelated (@Linux this is not the bandwidth/management problem).
