How much is a Cel-Fi thingo for Vodafone, just out of interest? Or does the price change depending on the existing signal? My Mum's Vodafone signal is really poor - but Spark is okay.

@quickymart Approx $1500 for the kit. I still need to reply to your last PM sorry. I've got a kit I'll be testing next week on RCG towers, so I'll have some more info for you then, as this affects your Mum's address.

The universe is a tricky thing.

Within a month of cancelling the wiring and maintenance fee, I get this red optical light.

W&M fee doesn't cover single-mode fibre circuit, only any integrated copper wiring.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

wiring and maintenance wont help you

its likely the chorus tech doing another install has bumped you connection in the pit or cabinet causing it to come loose.

Hooray! Back online.

Yes, it was a ham-fisted tech that bumped us off in the big hole up the road.

Can Chorus not tell when something like that happens?

Dread to think if it had happened while we were away and the security cams couldn't upload to the cloud.

Oh dear, one of those relics from the ark, an alarm with a POTS dial up. Time to get onto your alarm company for an IP upgrade!
