This just keeps getting better. Today I was able to view my bill electronically, and wondered why it was so high. The $150 early resign fee has been charged, but has not then immediately been credited, as I was told it would be by one of the salespeople in the store when I bought the phone.

I rang 777 and they said there was nothing they could do and I would have to go back into the shop, which I did but the person who sold me the phone was not there, and won't be back until Thursday. Another salesperson took a photocopy of my receipt (which has the early resign fee crossed out and initialled), as well as a copy of the page of my bill showing the $150 charge. He said they'll get back to me.

Hopefully I'll hear back by Thursday, otherwise I'll be back in there first thing Friday. All I'm hoping is that this will be a simple matter to fix and not something I'll have to try and fight them for.

Went to the Glenfield Westfield mall Vodafone shop this afternoon. Asked about buying the iPhone 3G handset only and was told by a rather unfriendly looking staff that I can't do that unless I buy it with the plan. I explained that I saw on the Vodafone site that I can buy just the handset, he said no, you have to buy the handset from the website? I can't see that on the Vodafone site that says that... point me to it if I have missed it.

I just LOL'ed and walked away... I have the money to buy it, VF is making it hard for me to get one ....

Now where's that Parallel Imported shop ....

If I can ask, how long was your original term and how far along were you? As the sales rep crossed out the early re-sign fee, you will be refunded now but it's always interesting to see if you were eligible in the first place.

I was on a 24 month YC60 plan, with 8 months left on it.

No phone call from the salesperson either, will follow it up with them again as soon as I can get back into the shop.
