Probably not. They have stopped forwarding emails. Email services are all closed down.

Hi Dylan,

I think it's fair to say that technically speaking, for the unique scenario in question, there is indeed a way to make this happen.

You seem like a guy who believes in doing the right thing (based on your twitter profile). So, how about helping an old lady "get across the road"?

Can I contact you directly please?

He used to work for Vodafone, but I believe he doesn't anymore. And I doubt there's a way to "make it happen", unfortunately.

Its not going to happen. The address is no longer your friends, they have no rights to access anything to do with it.

My query was why did your friend not let people know of a new address before this happened? Like I say, Vodafone gave plenty of notice about the mail service being discontinued.

When I worked there I knew people that knew people that could have got it done. I agree it's a two minute thing, however, I expect getting the ticket created and escalated to the right people with accepted justifications behind it would be next to impossible.

I personally think shutting down email systems like this is close to vandalism. But considering how other services and campaigns have come and gone it doesn't surprise me at all.

Apologies. I thought you were representing the company.

Yeah, the who-you-know route is the one I'd typically take. Except, I don't know the right people (at VF), or people who know the people.

Cheers anyway.
