nztim: Is a master filter installed ? Did Michael or Fraser get back to you?

 

 

 

Yes Michael did get back to me but the 24 hour line test didn't show anything and they closed the ticket and put it down to an internal wiring issue.

Yes Michael did get back to me but the 24 hour line test didn't show anything and they closed the ticket and put it down to an internal wiring issue.

 

 

So get someone who knows what they are doing to install a Master filter and a dedicated DSL Jack, last one I did I had to replace the internal cable as well with Cat6 because rats had started chewing through it.

Those line stats should be quite good for VDSL. Definitely could be a candidate to get a master splitter installed and that would sort out the internal wiring.

Does anyone have any recommendations for someone that works in the area?

 

Is it something that you would get an electrician in for?

Master filter, new cable run and new jack point installed yesterday. So far all good. Even helped get one of Vodafone mobiles onto Wi-Fi calling.

Nice one @coffeebaron do you have before/after stats? I guess you will need DLM to settle down before you know if its really helped

 

@blackjack17 will be happy

 

@MichaelC you should put people onto Fraser when people have problems with xDSL
