Sounds like there is going to be a transition period of some months where some users won't have access to any service.

Yep. Not good enough.

Anyone looked at these - <link removed>

Looks much cheaper than replacing 4 cellphones, anyone had any experience with them?

Are they certified and legal to use in NZ?

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

@DodgerNZL Why do you think it is a New Zealand business?

The ".co.nz" part of the domain does not mean they are based in New Zealand, at all.

I see they have a Christchurch listed address - but that may just be for holding reasons. These aren't legal and someone from Vodafone et al should be notified.

Ok, from the 30 second google and look, which shows an NZ address it looks legit.

But from the 1 minute extra google, it shows up as an overseas company passing themselves off as NZ based complete with CHCH address.

This is why we ask questions on here.

On the web page the company claim the boosters meet all NZ Telco requirements and are legal in NZ. If any of the networks aren't already well aware of this outfit and their claims they must be asleep at their desks. Is it somebody like MBIE that should be shutting them down?

Looks like they use Cel-Fi units and they are legal for NZ Use. I would hope they are going through the exclusive distributor though.

There is also paperwork the dealer needs to do that goes back to the Network teams at each telco.

There are a number of us on here that sell Cel-Fi products commercially.

Cel-fi looks like the sort of thing I'll need once the sure signal stops working.

We only get cell reception at the front windows of our house without SS, still cheaper than 4 new cellphones.

As above, Cel-Fi are the only approved active repeater system. I've installed many of these and they work very well. Also not dependent on your broadband working, like the SureSignal.
